Letting go is one of the hardest lessons in life.   It can be situations, things, memories, people and even yourself.  It’s easy to form an attachment with these things but letting go of these is another story.  There are many things that we have to learn for us to perfect the art of letting go.

Today’s Top Ten topic “Signs that you have to let go” on my favorite show The Morning Rush touched me badly.

I have been trying to control my feelings these past few weeks, something that I have learned from the past.  This is something that I am proud of. Some even say that I’m doing a great job, because if you really know me, you’d be surprised that I’m acting like nothing happened.

Maybe, I’m just tired of being emotional and lonely.  I just don’t find it necessary.  I feel it’ll be too much for me to give an additional time and my time need not be wasted.

I don’t actually hate the topic, in fact, I find the timing perfect.  I just feel it has opened something and I think the world is conspiring in a good way.

Why? First, because I know that everyone will agree with me on this that I deserve better. Second, there’s no point to wallow on small things, the world won’t end just because of that.  Third, Happiness is a Choice, and I’m choosing the smart ride.  I’d like to remain happy and hopeful.  Lastly, and I strongly believe that even CRAPPY days end.  Better days are so on its way.  I just feel it.

So I guess it’s really time for me to start anew.

I’ve got a great list of friends (mental check),

the positive attitude (mental check),

the love (mental check),

and the hope (mental check).

Well flood isn’t a new thing to me since I came from a university that is notoriously synonymous to flood… and typhoon Ondoy is another story to tell.

Weirdly, I have this very different point of view as always… I somehow enjoyed it a little because I was able to get to know more of rusher friends as I may say.

Anyway, everything was really fine not until we were forced to go out of megamall since it was already closing…

Fortunately my office is within the area and we crashed there for a while and I called up hotels but unfortunately all are fully booked…

So we took the chance to check cheap motels and luckily we’ve got a good deal though there were no reservations (high risk I may say) and it’s too early for us to go there since the overnight rates start @ around 8pm.

Sadly they really can’t reserve us rooms but they gave an assurance that there are lots of rooms available so we decided to eat dinner first since most of us are really hungry that time.

Lo and behold we got there… only to find out that all rooms were booked…

And we were able to check the whole strip and after 4 other motels we finally got the chance to get 5 rooms since we were 10 and they wouldn’t allow extra person in the room. (strict si manong pang 2 pax lang daw) he even rejected two (2) females with a baby since bawal daw ang babies sa motel) I know he’s really out of his mind.

Bad trip lang kasi with manong is he wouldn’t accommodate us kasi mabilis syang maattract ng may kotse I just have to tell him constantly… manong kami nauna dyan dapat first in muna… buti kalmado pa ako ng konti.

Anyway, again as I’ve said, sometimes, i’m really weird because I actually enjoyed the night, the challenge to get the rooms and all other fun memories na well documented

Thanks to Merski, Gab, Oscar, Caramello, Stephen , Rhix & hubby, Selwyn and Benjai for spending the night and this experience with me… until the next EB…

“I’ll never forget 33 and the question, bakit maraming salamin?”

Just recently my brother stopped using his Ipod nano and I’d gladly offered him to take care of the gadget.  People who know me would expect that behavior from me.

My favorite feature of Ipod is the pod cast.  Just recently, I have discovered that my favorite show RX’s Morning Rush hosted by Chico & Delamar has a pod cast through Blue Ritz’s blog.

I’ve found out about it when I accidentally updated my iTunes and saw that Blue Ritz’s blog or pod cast was there automatic like a magic and the rest was history.  Lately, I’ve been listening to the love show every morning and would listen to the pod cast in the afternoon.  Basically, 60% of my time spent is devoted to listening to the Morning Rush.

I also have favorite episodes and I’ve decided to share this with you.  I went to Chico’s blog because he posts the previous Top Ten topics, too.  But unfortunately, he missed this topic, the topic was about the “Things to say to someone who is about to give up”.

Luckily, I made it to the cut.  And here are the favorite lines or answers that I’ve got from that day.

Things to say to someone who is about to give up

  • God doesn’t give you stuff you can’t handle
  • Never ever start to stop
  • Sometimes it is not about winning sometimes it is about knowing when it is about to give up so you can move on to something better
  • You just wasted time complaining, time you could have used to think of the solution
  • Quitting is sometimes just a temporary solution to a permanent problem
  • Giving up means at least you tried, you can’t give up if you didn’t even dare
  • Remember the reasons why you held on for so long
  • In difficulties lies opportunities
  • Try to look at the bigger picture you’re probably looking at it at the different angle
  • Giving up doesn’t always mean you’re weak, we always do a little growing up every time we do a little letting go

It is one wonderful topic that I’ve really learned a lot.  We all know that challenges in life are inevitable and I believe that surviving those obstacles is by our own choice and effort.  The positive attitude, a totally different perspective would really be a great factor for us to face up those moments.  And in the end, we’d be fulfilled and happy that these tests made us stronger and made us believe that nothing is impossible as long as we believe.

I’m sharing this you tube link that I’ve made to capture some portions of the show.  See and listen why I got addicted to the show.
