Finally I’ve found the news about Supernatural’s renewal for another season.  I can’t believe that Dean and Sam has been part of my life for 6 years and it’ll be 7 next year.

Based on what I’ve read, Supernatural is one of the most lucrative franchises on television. With a series of Supernatural novels from HarperCollins, a mini-series of Supernatural comic books from Wildstorm (DC Comics), a pen & paper role-playing game, trading cards, shirts, posters, calendars, figurines and lately,  a Japanese anime spin-off series.

I’m really happy with this news but I hope that season 7 will have heavier and meatier plot than season 6.  I’m quite disappointed with how the story revolved with the current season.  I find the plot all over the place and it lacked continuity and coherence.  I wasn’t satisfied not until episode 18th came up.  I was actually afraid that the show would end horrendously.

Anyway, I’m keeping my hopes up and with the current episodes’ story, I’m thinking positive about it.  Plus, I’ve just noticed recently that Misha Collins is a regular of the show already.  And I think, season 7 will be discussing more of Castiel.

For those who are not a fan of the show, Castiel is the angel that first appeared in the fourth season, and is used to introduce the theme of Christian mythology to the series.  In the series, Castiel brings Dean Winchester back from Hell, and helps Dean and his brother Sam in their battles with various demons and angels. As an angel, he possesses a number of superhuman abilities, including the ability to kill demons with his touch.  Initially, the character demonstrates little emotion, though his interactions with Dean have humanized him to a degree.

Unlike a stereotypical portrayal of television angels, Castiel does not help people, and is willing to kill innocents if needed. Collins originally read for the part of a demon, as series creator Eric Kripke did not want fans to find out that angels were being introduced to the series.  Critics and fans have responded favorably to the character. In response, the show’s creators expanded the role in the series. Castiel is older than he seems having remembered how evolution began but was stopped by Raphael as he was going to step on a fish that crawled on land and other events in human history. With this being said, I think there’s a lot of room for Castiel’s story in the series especially when the show have recently introduced the storyline of Castiel being in cahoots with Crowley.  Who wouldn’t be thrilled to find more about it?  I just hope that season 6 will end with a bang and a great cliffhanger.  Never mind if it’ll give me sleepless nights just as long as it’ll give the show a better ratings and following.  So for all the Supernatural fanatics out there, I guess our hunting days aren’t over yet.

I’ve been a fan of the TV series Supernatural since 2005 when I’ve heard about Jared Padalecki’s new project after leaving my favorite show Gilmore Girls. I instantly loved the series because of Jensen Ackles and his character – Dean Winchester. His character is funny and lovable. Okay I think I’m too biased.

Then just recently, I think two weeks ago when I’ve heard about the release of Supernatural the Animation and being a loyal follower of the show of course, I didn’t think twice and searched for a copy of the series.

The anime will be re-imagining the original live-action series that follows the Winchester brothers Sam and Dean as they hunt creatures and other supernatural phenomena across the American landscape. The anime will be a 22-episode season that will cover the storyline of the live-action version’s first two seasons. The anime project will not only remake the best episodes from the live-action version, but also depict original episodes not seen in the live-action version. Those original episodes will include prologues of the Winchester brothers’ childhood, anime-only enemies, and episodes featuring secondary characters from the live-action version. The Winchester brothers (Sam and Dean) will be designed to look like the original actual actors (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki). Sub characters: e.g. John, Bobby, Mary, Jessica etc. will be designed in a completely new way to give fresh impression. Enemies (Creatures, Demon and Ghosts) will be given a cool design taking full advantage of Japanese anime expression. (Credits to supernaturalwiki.com)

Jared dubbed Sam’s voice and unfortunately to Jensen fans like me he will be dubbing only for the last two episodes of the animation.

I have watched 16 episodes already and I can’t seem to get enough of it. One thing that I didn’t like much is the change in character of Dean it seemed like that he’s taking the lead from Sam which isn’t actually the case from the live-action series but good thing is the animation kept his comical character intact. Listening to the Japanese version of Kansas’ Carry on Wayward Son is a bit odd and funny, this song was used as the series’ theme.

Here’s the clip of the official trailer of the animation originally in Japanese but also dubbed in English.

On September 4th my parents have been away for a year.  On the 23rd is my sister’s birthday. And whenever September comes these are the other things that come to my mind:

  1. Radio starts playing Christmas songs which I totally hate
  2. Bee Gees’ song September reminds me of my “pare” who sang it during a band competition and his birth month, too
  3. Floods, the Ondoy tragedy
  4. 9-ll attack in NYC back in 2001
  5. Greenday’s Wake Me Up When September Ends which was actually inspired by number 4
  6. And lastly, is the season premiere of my favorite shows.

First off the list is Survivor which will be premiering on September 15th.  It’ll be the 21st season from the franchise. The cast-aways will be spending the 39 days on Nicaragua.  I have just recently rediscovered my love for the show after not watching for years when I was compared with Parvati Shallow.  Some friends say that I am as manipulative as Parvati is and I love her for being the sneaky little bitch that she is.

Next is Supernatural on its 6th Season and will be premiering on September 24th.  I was actually happy because all I thought was the 5th season will be there last not until the producers made their final say early this year and revealed that the show will be up for another season.  Season 6th will be all about revelation, the final days of Sam and Dean Winchester and the Apocalypse.  I can’t wait to see this show.

Last and definitely not the least is the show, Brothers and Sisters.  The show will be aired on September 26th for its 5th season.  The season finale shocked me and left me with lots of questions.  Did Robert die? What will happen to Saul?  Will the new business be successful and encounter less problems as the water business?  But I have one big question that I really want to be answered is it true that 3 of their regular casts left?

I knew even before that Rob Lowe is leaving the story prepared me for that.  I was shocked to learn that Emily’s leaving, I like her.  But what’s really depressing despite the obvious reduced exposure of his role is Tommy.

I just can’t take that Tommy will actually leave the show, I just can’t take it.  Upon reading about it, I just went back to the list of what reminds me of September and made me listen to this. Can you just wake me up when September starts so I’ll have my answers?

Finally I’ve heard (read) good news.  Supernatural will be back for its 6th season.  The past few weeks have been really bad for me but I’m not complaining.  And I really needed to hear positive news so it’d start a new thread in my life.  At least that’s the hope.  Anyway, read the good news here if you are a loyal follower of CWTV shows.  (Click it here)

Fall Season premiere of CWTV shows have been announced and I’ve been waiting for this for months.

The return of my favorite show Supernatural will be on 10th of September.  And a new show Vampire Diaries will complete the new line-up of Thursday nights!  Vampire Diaries, this new show focuses on the battle between two Vampire brothers – one good, one evil – who compete for the love of the same young woman.

And of course, I can’t wait for the return of Supernatural and see what will happen after Lilith’s death, Ruby’s betrayal and Lucifer’s Rising.  The seal has been officially opened by Sam.  The premièring season is said to be the last for Supernatural.  It’s 5th for the show.  And thinking about it makes me feel sad because it’ll tantamount to not seeing Dean for another season.  No more thrills!

Anyway, but what keeps me excited is the fact that how will the season and the show will end, considering that they’d be faced to battle Lucifer this season.  I’m beginning to wonder how the story will go.  I’m also excited to see Jim Beaver who plays Bobby Singer.  Will Castiel still be there to help them fight the evil Lucifer?

Bottom line, I just can’t wait and I just hope that this season will be like the other seasons that will continually make me happy and thrilled all at the same time! And I want a full season of Dean Winchester! haha!
