On September 4th my parents have been away for a year. On the 23rd is my sister’s birthday. And whenever September comes these are the other things that come to my mind:
- Radio starts playing Christmas songs which I totally hate
- Bee Gees’ song September reminds me of my “pare” who sang it during a band competition and his birth month, too
- Floods, the Ondoy tragedy
- 9-ll attack in NYC back in 2001
- Greenday’s Wake Me Up When September Ends which was actually inspired by number 4
- And lastly, is the season premiere of my favorite shows.
First off the list is Survivor which will be premiering on September 15th. It’ll be the 21st season from the franchise. The cast-aways will be spending the 39 days on Nicaragua. I have just recently rediscovered my love for the show after not watching for years when I was compared with Parvati Shallow. Some friends say that I am as manipulative as Parvati is and I love her for being the sneaky little bitch that she is.
Next is Supernatural on its 6th Season and will be premiering on September 24th. I was actually happy because all I thought was the 5th season will be there last not until the producers made their final say early this year and revealed that the show will be up for another season. Season 6th will be all about revelation, the final days of Sam and Dean Winchester and the Apocalypse. I can’t wait to see this show.
Last and definitely not the least is the show, Brothers and Sisters. The show will be aired on September 26th for its 5th season. The season finale shocked me and left me with lots of questions. Did Robert die? What will happen to Saul? Will the new business be successful and encounter less problems as the water business? But I have one big question that I really want to be answered is it true that 3 of their regular casts left?
I knew even before that Rob Lowe is leaving the story prepared me for that. I was shocked to learn that Emily’s leaving, I like her. But what’s really depressing despite the obvious reduced exposure of his role is Tommy.
I just can’t take that Tommy will actually leave the show, I just can’t take it. Upon reading about it, I just went back to the list of what reminds me of September and made me listen to this. Can you just wake me up when September starts so I’ll have my answers?

The Heroes vs. Villains Season of Survivor is crazy. It is one season that you shouldn’t miss. It is on its 10th episode and it has the 2nd blind side of the season already.
The 10th episode’s highlight was the merge of the two tribes. Both have equal number of survivors, 5 each for the heroes and the villains but with the suicidal move of JT from last episode they have handed their own fate to the villains.
JT is the dumbest survivor I have ever seen. I am not even a survivor cast away but 1 thing I’ve learned from watching the series is that one should not trust anyone except thy self.
So I’ll skip the long story and fast forward to the juiciest part. Parvati blind-sided the heroes by giving the immunity idol to Sandra and Jerri. She kept a secret from Russell. Funny thing is Russell has been claiming that he is the king of the tribe because he thought he has full control of the game. Unfortunately, he failed to recognize that Parvati was the queen.
This is where it’ll get tricky. Parvati will most probably lose Russell’s allegiance since she kept a secret and betrayed him. She just lost another chance of protecting herself more in the game since she gave away the idol. But I think in return she’ll get the respect and allegiance of Jerri and Sandra since she made self-sacrifice and they’re indebted to her. But then again, this is survivor and debts don’t matter. Promises are made to be broken especially and one’s life is set on the chopping board.
You can make a lot of speculations with the developments and it is getting more exciting one after the episode. I am officially addicted to the series again. I’m glad I’ve tried watching it again.
I ripped the portion of the tribal council to show and share with you how genius Parvati is. I really hope that she’ll win the game again. Yes I used the word again because Parvati won the game before. Enjoy!

I’ve always been a fan of survivor since its season 2 Survivor Outback. It was an influence by my friend Erick but I stopped watching it when I got tired of the same old routine. I can’t even remember the last time I watched Survivor from start to finish.
But, this year’s season 20 Heroes versus Villains got me hooked again. It all started when I was discussing with my friend Eliad about something and he kind of compared me with Parvati Shallow.
That comment made me think in what way I am alike Parvati Shallow. How I wish that the reason for such is because I am as charming. But, if I am being compared with her because I am evil, bitchy and manipulative that’s more exciting. And I believe with all my heart that it is more of the latter. Haha!
Since it’s a long week-end holiday for us here, I was able to watch episodes 1 to 7. And I must say episode 6 was the best. Russell blind-sided Tyson and he was able to save himself and Parvati. He is genius.
Obviously, I’m rooting for the Villains because they have more conflict and they are more interesting to watch. And if I were to choose I’d like to see Parvati Shallow and Russell Hantz to be up against each other on the final tribal council.
I’m ending this post with the link of the official opening credits of Survivor for the complete cast and list of the survivors. Let’s see what will happen on the succeeding tribal councils!
